Hi all. I am looking to get Protools for my newly gotten Macintosh. The thing is, it is one of the plastic model ones from way back when and won't run Maverics. So, which Protools works with Snow Leopard?

Version 9, or 10 would be what you'd want. Also, in doing so you'd do best using a version that gives access to RTAS plugins.

RTAS plugins? What are they?

They are the plugin format used in pro tools in pro tools up until pro tools 10.0 after this, it went to AAX which are only accessible in PT 11.

Where is a good place to learn about making computer music? I don't understand half the stuff the ProTools videos on YouTube are talking about.
